Steven Davis Returning to the U

Former Gopher football standout Steven Davis has been named Director of Minnesota and Affinity Engagement for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. He will assume his new position on August 14.

In this new role, Davis will be advancing the following:
  • Develop and implement engagement initiatives with all alumni in Minnesota
  • Serve as the primary liaison between all networks in Minnesota including various Affinity Groups with the UMAA
  • Plan and execute multiple events that engage alumni and connect them to Minnesota
Davis was a named a freshman All-American following his first season in Gold Country in 2005. He set a freshman school record with nine sacks, including two in the Gophers' 23-20 upset at Michigan. He finished his career ranked ninth in school history in sacks. Davis was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and served as team captain in 2008.
