Game Preview
The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team concludes the exhibition part of the 2007-08 schedule with a matchup against Southwest Minnesota State at Williams Arena. The Mustangs return 10 letterwinners from last season’s team that finished 20-10 overall and 14-4 in the NSIC. SMSU is led by senior guard Travis Krenske, an all-conference player a season ago. The game is sceduled to tip at 6 p.m. and can be seen on theBigTenNetwork.
Unofficial Gopher Debuts
Three Gophers made their debuts at The Barn during the Nov. 1. exhibition victory over Minnesota State. Freshman Al Nolen (Minneapolis, Minn.) played 22 minutes and contributed nine points and two steals. Fellow freshman Blake Hoffarber (Minnetonka, Minn.) saw 20 minutes of playing time, finishing with six points while sophomore Travis Busch (St. Paul, Minn.) also made his Minnesota debut after transfering last season from Cal Poly. Busch played 16 minutes, scored seven points while adding two steals and one rebound.
