The Minnesota men’s basketball team’s regular season opener vs. Army at Williams Arena on Saturday, Nov. 10, will tip off at 2 p.m., athletics department officials announced Wednesday.

The game will be the first official regular-season contest of the Tubby Smith era and just the second meeting all time between the Gophers and the Cadets.

Minnesota defeated Army, 79-37, in the first game between the two programs on Dec. 28, 1981 in Williams Arena.

The Gophers will tip off their exhibition slate with games on Nov. 1 and Nov. 6. Minnesota will host Minnesota State on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., and then host Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Both games will be played at Williams Arena.
