Freshman guard Wally Ellenson is officially a member of the Golden Gopher Basketball program. He recently sat down with Mike Grimm of the Gopher Radio Network and Gophersports.com to talk about being on campus.

Ellenson hails from Rice Lake, Wis. He left as Rice Lake High's all-time leading scorer and was also one of the best scholastic high jumpers in the country. He is the reigning Wisconsin State Champion in the event and cleared 7 feet, one inch this spring, one of the highest in the United States this year.
