#4: Austin Hollins Incredible Block in NIT Semifinal
The Gophers made the most out of their postseason opportunity, earning the number-one overall seed in the National Invitation Tournament. After three home wins over High Point, St. Mary's and Southern Miss, Minnesota earned a spot in the Big Apple for a rematch with Florida State in the semifinals.
Minnesota led by four midway through the second half, but the Seminoles were threatening and looking to put an exclamation on their comeback attempt. Aaron Thomas went up for what looked to be an uncontested one-handed slam, but Austin Hollins flew in from behind and blocked the shot. It was a key momentum play as the Gophers went on to knock off FSU, 67-64, in overtime and advance to the championship game.
