#8: Mo Walker Scores 10 Straight Points vs. Wisconsin
A frenzied, sellout crowd at the Barn greeted the rival Badgers on January 22, and the Gophers looked to be in trouble just 16 seconds in when leading scorer Andre Hollins left the game with a severe ankle injury. Needing someone to step up, the Gophers found a spark in 6'10" junior forward Maurice Walker.
Walker helped steady the ship with a breakout performance midway through the first half, scoring 10 straight points for the Gophers to stake their lead at 21-15 with less than 10 minutes expired. Walker ended up with a career-high 18 points, helping lead Minnesota past ninth-ranked Wisconsin, 81-68, in the Gophers' biggest statement win of the season.
