Richard Pitino has been selected as the finalist for the position of University of Minnesota men's head basketball coach. Pitino and the university have reached an understanding in principle on the key terms of an agreement, according to Director of Athletics Norwood Teague.
The terms of the agreement will be finalized later this week. Details of the agreement and further information regarding a scheduled press conference will be forthcoming.
Fans are invited to the introductory press conference, to be held at 9 a.m. on the court in Williams Arena.
Fans are advised to consult University Parking and Transportation Services for public parking options. Maroon Lot will most likely be fans' best public parking option.
The University Avenue lobby and Oak Street entrances will be open for public entrances. On-court seating will be reserved for media and University guests.
