After a spectacular run to the Championship game of the Big Ten Tournament, the Gophers men's basketball team secured a bid to play in the 2010 NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. The No. 11 seeded Gophers will play the No. 6 seeded Xavier Musketeers with an opening round game at 11:25 AM Friday, March 19 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The University of Minnesota receives a very limited
number of tickets (550 total) for the first round of the NCAA tournament. Tickets will be allocated to basketball team and staff, donors, season ticket holders and students. Based on the proximity of the game in Milwaukee, we do not expect to be able to accommodate all ticket requests.
As a Gopher men’s basketball season ticket holder you may request two (2)
tickets for the NCAA basketball 1st & 2nd rounds at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wis. (Important Note: Only the Gopher season ticket holder on record with the Gopher Ticket Office can place a request for tickets) To place a ticket request please call the Gopher ticket office at 612-624-8080 starting at 9 AM on Monday morning. All Gopher men’s basketball season ticket holders have until 5 PM on Monday to place their ticket request.
All competing schools in the NCAA basketball tournament receive ticket allotments for the 1st Round only. Only teams who advance are allocated tickets for the 2nd Round. If the Gophers advance to the 2nd round, all season ticket holders who received tickets through the Gopher Ticket Office for the 1st Round will receive 2nd Round tickets and the credit card on file will be charged accordingly. Further instructions on ticket pick-up will be provided to those eligible to purchase 1st Round tickets. All 1st and 2nd Round NCAA ticket requests will be prioritized based on each season ticket holder’s annual donation to the Golden Gopher Fund. Any season ticket holder who qualifies to purchase 1st and 2nd Round tickets will be notified via email by 11 am Tuesday, March 16.
Thanks for your support of the Gophers!
