Michael Bauer, Maurice Hargrow, Jerry Holman and Rick Rickert each received honors.
Rickert, a sophomore forward, was named First Team (coaches) and Second Team (media). He led the Gophers with 15.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He has scored in double figures in 19 straight games for the Maroon and Gold, including a season-high 26 points against both Penn State (2/22) and Purdue (2/8). Rickert has scored in double figures in 45 of 57 games in his career as a Golden Gopher, including 23 games this season. He tallied his 800th career point at Michigan State (2/28). He was named Academic All-District and second-team All-District by the NABC in 2003.
Bauer, a junior forward, received All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors (coaches and media) after averaging 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. He is tied for third in career three-point field goals with 137. His 39 three-point field goals made and 102 attempted in Big Ten games this season are school records. Bauer also averaged 1.75 blocks in conference games, tying him for second in the league.
Hargrow received All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the conference coaches after averaging 13.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. The sophomore guard claimed new career highs in all offensive categories this season - 24 points vs. Texas Tech (12/28/02), 10 rebounds vs. Oral Roberts (1/1), eight assists vs. Michigan (2/1) and four steals at Michigan (1/22). Hargrow tallied his 400th career point at Northwestern (2/19) and has scored in double figures 22 times this season. His improvements on points (+9.9), rebounds (+3.7), assists (+2.2) and steals (+1.0) are the largest jumps of any Big Ten player.
Holman, a senior center, also received All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the conference coaches after averaging 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He scored in double figures 16 times this season and tallied his 500th career point vs. Penn State (2/22). Holman ranks third overall and finished second in conference games in field goal percentage, shooting .600 for the whole season and .591 in Big Ten contests. He ranks second in overall blocks (1.75 bpg) and third in offensive rebounds (2.37).
