UnThe Golden Gopher men's basketball team brought some Valentine's Day excitement to the children at Fairview University Hospital today. Smiles and laughter were in the air as players and coaches visited, gave autographs and spent quality time with many of the children in the cancer wing.

"We feel really bad for these kids, but it was great to see how excited they were to see us," Randy Chall said. "It was a very memorable experience."

The players spent some time decorating Valentine's cookies and visiting patients' rooms to spread some holiday cheer. The Golden Gophers make an annual visit to the hospital in cooperation with Children's Cancer Research Fund.
