• Minnesota and Wisconsin at Williams Arena will kick off a big week of Border Battles between the two institutions. The men's hockey programs will face-off in Madison on Friday and on Sunday at the OfficeMax Hockey City Classic, played outdoors at Soldier Field in Chicago.
• The Gophers & Badgers have met 182 times prior to tonight, the longest running series in the history of Gopher basketball. Minnesota holds a 94-88 record in the series, including 61-32 in Minneapolis.
Rodney Williams enters the matchup against Wisconsin needing two rebounds for 500 in his career. When he does, he will become the 19th player in Gopher history to amass at least 1,000 career points & 500 career rebounds.
Andre Hollins is averaging a team and career-high 13.8 ppg this season, 11th-most in the Big Ten Conference. He is ninth in scoring in conference games with an average of 14.8 ppg.
