A graduate of Robbinsdale Cooper Senior High School averaged 15.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game as a senior named to the Minneapolis Star Tribune All-Metro team named to the St. Paul Pioneer Press Second Team All-State all-time scoring leader at Robbinsdale Cooper with 1,702 points second on Cooper's all-time rebounding list with 660.
