2012-13 | freshman Season:
Broke a bone in his left hand - his shooting hand - prior to the exhibition opener • missed the first 11 games • made his Gopher debut against North Dakota State (12/11) and scored one point in four minutes • scored five points in 15 minutes against Lafayette (12/22) • finished with four points in six minutes against Northwestern (1/6), his B1G Conference debut • missed games against Illinois (2/10), Wisconsin (2/14) & Iowa (2/17) with a strained left achilles • scored four points in six minutes off the bench at Ohio State (2/20) • missed the Big Ten Tournament games against Illinois (3/14) with an illness.

A graduate of Rice Lake High School • rated as nation's 35th-best shooting guard by ESPN • led the Warriors to a 24-2 record, Big Rivers Conference title (12-0), and regional championship in 2012 • Rice Lake's all-time leading scorer, compiling 1,356 points in three years at the school • averaged 20.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.96 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1 block as a senior • averaged 22.1 points and 8.4 rebounds as a junior • scored 40 points in a game against Roseville as a junior • three-time Wisconsin Division 2 all-state selection • named to All-Northwest First Team • three-time All-Big Rivers First Team selection • second-team all-conference honoree as a freshman at Eau Claire Memorial • took third place at the 2012 American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk Championships • two-time Wisconsin Division 1 state champion in high jump • his state-record jump of seven feet, one inch in the 2012 regional meet was the nation's best by a high school athlete, and only two inches shy of an Olympic Trials qualifier • also owns Rice Lake school records in long jump (22-6) and triple jump (44-2).
