Summer Roundup: June 23

Minor Leagues

Austin Athmann (West Michigan Whitecaps/Class A) – Athmann collected four hits while scoring two runs and driving in two runs this past week.

Matt Fiedler (Peoria Chiefs/Class A) – Fiedler returned to action collecting one hit and one walk in his first game. In his second game back he went 3-5 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored.

Lucas Gilbreath (Grand Junction Rockies/Rookie) – Gilbreath signed his contract and was placed with the Grand Junction Rockies, the Rookie Ball team of the Colorado Rockies.

Brian Glowicki – Glowicki signed his contract with the Chicago Cubs but has yet to be assigned.

Jordan Jess (West Virginia Power/Class A) – Jess made on relief appearance where he tossed two hitless innings and struck out three batters.

Ben Meyer (Jupiter Hammerheads/Class A Advanced) - Meyer tossed one hitless inning where he walked three batters and allowed one run while striking out two batters.

Dalton Sawyer (Stockton Ports/Class A Advanced) – Sawyer made one start where he pitched 5.2 innings. He allowed one hit while striking out seven batters.

DJ Snelten (Sacramento River Cats/Triple-A) – Snelten made three relief appearances where he only allowed two hits and picked up two strikeouts.

Tom Windle (Reading Fightin Phils/Double-A) – Windle pitched 2.1 innings in two appearances. He allowed one run on three hits and struck out three batters.

Independent League

Nate Hanson (St. Paul Saints) – Hanson went 2-5 with one RBI and scored three runs Thursday night in a victory for the Saints.

Dan Motl (Sioux Falls Canaries) – Motl recorded seven hits over the week including a hour hit effort June 17.

Seth Rosin (St. Paul Saints) – Rosin made four appearances where he recorded three saves and struck out four batters.

Cape Cod League

Micah Coffey (Hyannis Harbor Hawks) – Coffey picked up three hits in three games, he has five on the season.

Northwoods League

Eduardo Estrada, Jr. (Willmar Stingers) – Estrada picked up one hit and scored one versus Mankato June 18.

Eli Wilson (Willmar Stingers) – Wilson has two hits, one RBI and one run scored in his last three games.

Toby Hanson (Mankato MoonDogs) – Since making his 2017 Northwoods debut June 18, Hanson has a .286 batting average with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored along with one stolen base.

Cole McDevitt (Waterloo Bucks) – McDevitt picked up his first hit of the summer last night and recorded one RBI and scored one run.

Gabe Knowles (Duluth Huskies) – Knowles picked up four hits in four games along with two walks, two RBIs and scored three runs.

Jackson Rose (St. Cloud Rox) – Rose made two hitless relief appearances for the Rox whole striking out one batter and not issuing a walk.

Jake Stevenson (St. Cloud Rox) – Stevenson made one appearances where he tossed two innings, allowing one run on four hits and he struck out one batter.

Perfect Game League

Luke Pettersen (Saugerties Stallions) – Pettersen recorded four hits in four games while recording two RBIs and five runs.
