The summer leagues are in full swing. See how current and former Golden Gophers are doing in their respective leagues.

Minor Leagues

Austin Athmann (West Michigan Whitecaps/Class A) – Athmann collected two games where he had three hits over the last week while recording two RBIs and scored four runs.

Jordan Jess (West Virginia Power/Class A) – Jess pitched in two games where he only allowed one hit and struck out two batters in three innings of relief.

Ben Meyer (Jupiter Hammerheads/Class A Advanced) – Meyer appeared in one game where he tossed two innings of one-hit ball and struck out two batters. His ERA is now down to 1.64 on the season.

Dalton Sawyer (Stockton Ports/Class A Advanced) – Sawyer was called up to the Triple-A Nashville Sound for one game where he got the start. He tossed six innings where he allowed three earned runs on six hits while striking out one batter.

DJ Snelten (Sacramento River Cats/Triple-A) – Snelten made two scoreless relief appearances where he struck out three batters in 2.2 innings.

Tom Windle (Reading FIghtin Phils/Double-A) – Windle threw 1.1 hitless relief innings and struck out one batter en route to his second win of the season.

Independent League

Nate Hanson (St. Paul Saints) – Hanson recorded four hits over the week while driving in four runs and drawing one walk.

Dan Motl (Sioux Falls Canaries) – Picked up three hits along with two RBIs and scored three runs over the week.

Seth Rosin (St. Paul Saints) – Rosin made two relief appearances and struck out two batters over two innings of work.

Cape Cod

Micah Coffey (Hyannis Harbor Hawks) – Coffey appeared in one game where he went collected two hits in four at-bats.

Terrin Vavra (Cotuit Kettleers) – Recorded one at-bat where he struck out.


Nick Lackney (Willmar Stingers) – Lackney started one game and tossed four innings. He allowed one earned run on six hits while striking out seven batters.

Eduardo Estrada, Jr. (Willmar Stingers) – Estrada picked up four hits in four games while driving in two runs and walking twice.

Eli Wilson (Willmar Stingers) – Wilson had two hits and one walk over the week.

Jordan Kozicky (Mankato MoonDogs) – Kozicky picked up two hits and one walk while scoring one run in his first Northwoods week of the summer.

Gabe Knowles (Duluth Huskies) – Knowles scored two runs on two hits and four walks over the week. He also drove in one run.

Jackson Rose (St. Cloud Rox) – Rose made two relief appearances, striking out one batter and only one earned run.

Jake Stevenson (St. Cloud Rox) – Stevenson made two appearances where he allowed four earned runs in 6.1 innings. He also struck out three batters.

Perfect Game

Luke Pettersen (Saugerties Stallions) – Pettersen currently has a .303 batting average recording 10 hits over the week. He has scored five runs and drove in five runs while stealing one base in 33 at-bats.
