Last Week: 1973 Gopher Football Highlights
In honor of the start of the 2013 College World Series this weekend, we present highlights from Minnesota's 5-1 win against Missouri in the 1964 national title game. The victory marked the Gopher baseball program's third national championship in a span of nine years.
After opening the tournament with wins against Texas A&M, Maine and USC, the Golden Gophers were defeated by Missouri to force a winner-take-all rematch with the Tigers.
Joe Pollack pitched his third complete-game victory of the tournament in the deciding game as he allowed just one run on four Tiger hits.
Check back next week for our next installment of our Summer Video Vault.
