April 29, 2013
University of Minnesota freshman Connor Schaefbauer (Sioux Falls, S.D.) has been named the Big Ten Rookie of the Week after his performance against North Dakota State and Iowa last week. The weekly award is the first of Schaefbauer's career and Gopher Baseball's sixth accolade this season. Schaefbauer is the first Golden Gopher to earn rookie of the week honors since Tom Windle
received the honor in 2011.
