April 20, 2013
Due to abnormal weather and field conditions, both the Saturday and Sunday games against Michigan State have been cancelled. With eight inches of snow received Thursday night into Friday morning, freezing overnight temperatures and rain forecast for Sunday, the full series has been cancelled. Big Ten games are not made up for later date.
The last time Minnesota missed an entire Big Ten series dates back to 2007 when it traveled to Ann Arbor, Mich., and the University of Michigan. Scheduled for April 6-8, 2007, the four-game series was cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
SCHEDULE CHANGES: Due to the field conditions in Fargo, N.D., the Minnesota/North Dakota State game has had a date, time and location change. Originally scheduled at NDSU for 6:30 p.m. on Tues., April 23, the game has now been moved to Wed., April 24th, in Minneapolis. The game time is now set for 3:05 p.m. at Siebert Field. Due to a rescheduled MIAC doubleheader, the Tues., April 30 game against St. Thomas has now been changed to May 1, also at Siebert Field and at 3:05 p.m.
Thursday's Game Rescheduled to 9 AM
Thursday's game between the University of Minnesota and Northwestern has been moved back to a 7:30 p.m. central start time due to weather.
