For the third straight week, the Minnesota baseball team (14-7, 1-1) was ranked No. 25 in the Baseball America Top 25 on Monday, Mar. 30.

Minnesota made its first appearance in the Baseball America Top 25 since 2001 on Mar. 16, and stayed at No. 25 after splitting an abbreviated two-game series at Indiana last week. The Golden Gophers won the first game 12-5, but dropped the second game 3-2. The third game of the series was postponed due to incelement weather.

The Golden Gophers are currently off to a 14-7 overall start and are 1-1 in Big Ten play. During that start, they have collected wins over then No. 11 TCU, UC Santa Barbara and Hawai'i.

Minnesota is one of three Big Ten teams currently in different top 25 polls. Ohio State is currently ranked No. 18 in the Collegiate Baseball Magazine poll, while Illinois is No. 26. The Buckeyes are also No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches poll.

Minnesota will be back in action on Wednesday, Apr. 1 at 6:35 p.m. when it faces Northern Iowa at the Metrodome. The Golden Gophers will then get back into conference action as they face Ohio State on Friday, Apr. 3 at 6:35 p.m. in the Metrodome, Saturday, Apr. 4 at 2:05 pm in the Metrodome and Sunday, Apr. 5 at 1:05 p.m. at Siebert Field.
