The University of Minnesota baseball program and Golden Gopher athletics is set to hold a grand opening event for the newly constructed Siebert Field, Tuesday, April 2 at 12:15 p.m. The event is open to the public and media members. The first game scheduled for Siebert Field is Friday, April 5 against Ohio State at 3 p.m. (limited tickets still available).
Guest speakers include the likes of University of Minnesota president Eric Kaler, Golden Gopher alum Paul Molitor and head baseball coach John Anderson.
Following the guest speakers, a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place to signify a new beginning in Gopher baseball. Fans are also welcome to tour the facility at this time. All guests are welcome to stay as Gopher baseball will hold a practice on the field at 3 p.m.
Minnesota Prepares for Two Midweek Games
Following a three-game sweep, the University of Minnesota returns to U.S. Bank Stadium as they host North Dakota State and Hawaii in two midweek games.
Gophers Sweep Seattle University
Minnesota completed a three-game sweep of the Seattle University Redhawks Sunday with a 11-7 victory at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Schulze Records First Collegiate Win
Minnesota picked up its third win of the season Saturday night after defeating Seattle University 6-3 in front of a crowd of 1,931 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
