Minnesota had nine players earn a RBI in the win. JT Canakes went 3-5 on the night and had two RBI and a run scored. Andy Henkemeyer, Matt Halloran, Dan Olinger and Bobby Juan all had two hits in the game. Minnesota used four pitchers in the game, with Tom Windle picking up the win. Also seeing action was Jordan Jess (2.2 innings, three earned runs), Dustin Klabunde (2.1, 1 earned run) and Drew Ghelfi (2.0, one earned run).
At the Dome, however, NDSU took home two wins in 2012 in 7-0 and 6-5 wins, March 20-21. The Bison threw ace John Straka in the first game and the shutout. In nine innings, Straka allowed just six hits and eight strikeouts. In the second game, NDSU jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. Minnesota however, responded back with five runs in the bottom of the seventh. However, the Bison countered with four of their own for a 6-5 final.
