2012 FRESHMAN SEASON: Earned his first letter when he played in 35 games and started in 26 batted .192 in his rookie campaign had 49 putouts and 69 assists had five RBI, eight runs scored in 78 at bats saw action in 11 Big Ten games in first collegiate at bat, hit a double and a RBI against St. John's (2/18) went 2-6 with a RBI in the win over Hamline (3/7) had a hit in each game of the Cal Poly series and scored a run (3/19) had a career-high game against Nebraska-Omaha (4/17) when he went 3-3 with three runs scored, a RBI, a walk and two stolen bases walked and scored a run in the extra-inning win over Michigan State (4/21) hit doubles in back-to-back games against Iowa (4/28-29) scored two runs and went 1-1 with a career-high three walks in the final game at Siebert Field (5/1).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Eden Prairie High School high school coaches were Mike Halloran and Scott Hackett helped the Eagles to a Minnesota state championship in 2010 also Lake Conference and Section 2AAA champions in 2010 selected to play in the Lion's All-Star Tournament all-state with the Eagles in 2011 named all-conference honoree his sophomore, junior and senior season letterwinner in both baseball and wrestling starter for the Eden Prairie Legion team that was national runner-ups in 2010 and national champions in 2011 hit a double, a triple and knocked in four RBI en route to the Legion championship.
PERSONAL: Undecided on a major son of Alan and Stacy Skjefte brother, Lucas, plays baseball for Minnesota State University, Mankato likes to hunt and fish lists winning the 2011 American Legion World Series as his most memorable sports thrill.
