Alex LaShomb Added to Gophers 2013 Roster

LaShomb led NJCAA last year in home runs and fourth in RBI

HIGH SCHOOL: Played with Burnsville High School and the Burnsville Cobras • was one of team captains in 2012 for the Blaze and the starting shortstop • 2012 Lions All-Star selection • member of Burnsville High School that won the state championship in 2011 • named a first-team all-state and all-conference • as a junior, held a .500 batting average with 36 RBI and 43 hits, three home runs and three triples • sophomore season with the Blaze, Stemper also was an all-state honoree after posting a .375 batting average and 20 RBI in 30 hits and five doubles en route to a state championship runner-up • played with the Burnsville Cobras American Legion Team, including a .420 and 44 RBI with nine home runs, 51 runs, 13 stolen bases and doubles in 2011 • National Honor Society member.
