Graduated from CMR Russell High School • batted .393 with seven home runs, 20 doubles and seven triples, while going 8-0 with 37 strikeouts and a 4.39 ERA for the Great Falls Stallions Legion program in 2009 • batted .437 with 56 RBI and 24 extra-base hits in 2008 • two-time All-State honoree in Legion play • named All-State in football as a junior and All-Conference in his junior and senior seasons • three-time Academic All-State honoree and was a four-year starter at goaltender at "Midget AA".
