HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time all-state selection as a junior and senior with Burnsville Blaze named a finalist for the Lions Male Amateur Athlete of the Year Lions All-Star Academic All-State Mr. Baseball finalist starting centerfielder for the Blaze as a senior, batted .413 with 14 runs batted in, 29 runs scored and had an on-base percentage of .478 team captain as a senior batted .456 as a junior, with a school record 41 runs scored, had 18 runs batted in and 25 stolen bases in just 27 games helped the Blaze to the Minnesota Class AAA State Championship in 2011 all-conference selection as a junior and senior in baseball as well as all-conference in football (quarterback) played summer American Legion ball with the Burnsville Cobras.
