The team’s David Winfield Pitcher of the Year • had a 4.31 ERA and 4-6 record • led Minnesota with 71 strikeouts in a team-high 87.2 innings • ranked seventh in the Big Ten in innings at the end of the regular season, and ranked second within conference play with 56.1 innings pitched • ranked fifth in the Big Ten in strikeouts during the regular season and seventh during Big Ten play (38) • eighth in conference play with an opponent batting average of .239 • the only Gopher pitcher to start all 14 weekends of the season • CoSIDA Academic All-District • Academic All-Big Ten. Named the team's Dianne Olson-Ficenko Dugout Club Player of the Year • led the team in ERA (2.39), innings pitched (98.0), and complete games (2) • ERA ranked sixth in the Big Ten and opposing average (.228) ranked fifth • tied for the team lead and fifth in the Big Ten with 67 strikeouts • ranked fourth in the Big Ten in overall innings pitched and tied for seventh in conference innings pitched (54.0) • went 3-2 with a 2.50 ERA (ninth in the Big Ten) in Big Ten play • threw 7.0 innings in a win over Louisiana Tech (3/2), striking out four and only allowing one run • struck out six in 7.0 innings of one-run ball against UNC Greensboro (3/9) •pitched a complete game against Northwestern (3/23) in a run of four straight one-run outings (3/1-3/23) • struck out a season-high eight batters vs. Michigan State (4/30), and matched that total in 8.0 scoreless innings against Penn State (4/26) • allowed three runs (two earned) in 7.0 innings with six strikeouts against Florida State (5/3) • gave up two runs (one earned) and four hits while striking out six in 8.0 IP against Iowa at the Big Ten Tournament (5/22) • CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree • Academic All-Big Ten.

2012 • FRESHMAN SEASON:
All-Big Ten Freshman Team • made 15 appearances in his rookie season, including six in Big Ten Conference play • held a 2.37 overall ERA and 0.60 in league action • pitched 38.0 innings and 15.0 in conference action • struck out 32 batters • made two starts • made his collegiate debut against St. John's (2/18) with an inning of relief pitching • struck out four and allowed two runs against New Mexico State (3/1) • pitched two innings of hitless work against Hamline (3/7) • went 3.1 innings against Kansas (3/10) • made his first collegiate start against North Dakota State (3/20) and pitched 4.0 innings and allowed just one run • started against South Dakota State and pitched 3.1 innings when he struck out three and kept the Jackrabbits scoreless (3/28) • allowed just one hit and no runs, while he struck out three in the walkoff win over Michigan (4/1) • pitched 2.1 innings against Ohio State (4/7) • worked 1.1 inning against Michigan State (4/22) and struck out two batters • allowed an unearned run against Penn State and struck out three in 1.2 innings (5/5) • pitched his longest outing against Nebraska (5/13) when he pitched 4.2 innings and allowed one run and struck out two • pitched 2.0 innings at Illinois and held the Illini hitless (5/18).

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated and played for Totino Grace under coaches Mike Smith and Don Roney • named a Class 3A All-State team • helped the Eagles to a North Suburban Conference championship and a 13-5 record his senior year • held a record of 5-2 in both his senior and junior seasons, while posting a 3-1 record as a freshman • participated at the Lions All-Star Baseball Tournament as a senior • all-city selection as a senior and all-conference honoree as a junior and senior • lettered in both baseball and basketball • also played Legion baseball with Fridley in 2011 • was on the A honor roll.
