HIGH SCHOOL A 2017 graduate of Manteno High School • played and started three seasons as a shortstop for coach Jason Adams and Manteno • ranked No. 40 overall prospect and No. 4 outfielder in Illinois by Prep Baseball Report • ranked No. 26 overall prospect in Illinois and No. 122 nationally by Perfect Game • named a 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention and All-Central Region • named a 2015 and 2016 Underclass Honorable Mention • earned All-Interstate 8 Conference honors during 2015 and 2016 with the Panthers • earned a Perfect Game All-America Honorable Mention selection in each of the last three seasons • named a 2017 Under Armour Baseball Factory Preseason All-American • missed much of his senior season due to a hand fracture • earned Illinois Class 3A Regional Championships in both 2015 and 2016 • played four seasons for Elite Baseball Training, finishing fourth at the 2016 U-16 WWBA National Championship • member of the Chi-Town Cream in 2017, as the team finished with an overall record of 44-3.
PERSONAL Born Easton Bertrand on May 3, 1999 to parents Kristi and Scott Bertrand • has two siblings, Logan and Braelyn • mother, Kristi, played softball at Kankakee Community College, and father, Scott, was an All-American baseball player at Lewis University • president of Purple Crush, the Manteno High Athletic Student Body Organization and a member of Junior Achivement in high school • outside interests include spending time with friends and playing with dogs • currently undecided on a major at Minnesota.
