Stephanie Woelfel currently serves as the Marketing Coordinator for Gopher Athletics. She oversees the marketing and in-event presentation for Women's Soccer and Women's Basketball. She assists with Men's and Women's Cross Country, Baseball, Softball, University of Minnesota Girls & Women in Sports Day, Goldy's Run, Football Program Sales, and the Girl Scouts initiative. Stephanie spent the last year as a part-time intern with the Gopher Sports Marketing internship program gaining experience and getting acquainted with the University of Minnesota. Prior to her time with the Gophers she attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. In May of 2012 she obtained a bachelor's degree in English and Sociology. She held a position on the Executive Board of Hawks Nest, the Official Student Section of Hawkeye Athletics, and was very involved with athletics at the University of Iowa. A native of Minnesota, originally from Pequot Lakes, MN; she now resides in Minnetonka, Minn.

Minnesota assistant baseball coach Todd Oakes passed away today after a courageous and public battle with leukemia. Oakes, who coached the Minnesota pitching staff, was 55.
