James Slagle is the Assistant Director of Marketing at the University of Minnesota. His role includes developing and executing marketinginitiatives for the Football, Women's Hockey, Baseball, and Men's Gymnastics teams. He also serves as the Athletic Marketing liaison to on-campus departments, and assists with other event on campus such asHomecoming, Welcome Week, and Goldy's Run.

Prior to arriving in the Twin Cities in February 2012, Slagle worked and studied at the University ofSouthern California (USC). He earned his Master's Degree in Education from USC in 2012 and spentseveral years working in their Student-athlete Academic Services and Athletic Marketing departments.

Slagle is a native of Chicago, Ill., and also has a bachelor's degree in Communication and Managementfrom Saint John's University (Minnesota). Slagle is a member of the National Association of CollegiateMarketing Administrators (NACMA) and serves as an adjunct professor of Sports Marketing at the University of Minnesota.
