Julia Olson joined the Athletic Medicine staff at the University of Minnesota as a NATABOC certified graduate assistant athletic trainer in August 2016. Julia's primary sport responsibility is the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She did an athletic training internship with Daytona State College where she also helped assist with the sports nutrition program. She also spent two years with the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine medical school where she was an outreach athletic trainer for a local high school, assisted in teaching medical students in early clinical experiences, and was a preceptor for Radford University ATEP program.
Julia plans to graduate with a Master of Education in Applied Kinesiology with and emphasis in Sport and Exercise Science.
