Jeremiah Carter was named Director of Athletic Compliance at the University of Minnesota in October 2015. He is responsible for oversight of all athletic compliance related issues at the University of Minnesota.
Prior to his role at the University of Minnesota, Carter spent six years working for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in various roles within the department of Academic and Membership Affairs. During this time he served as the primary liaison to the NCAA Division I Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement as well as the NCAA Division I Recruiting and Personnel Issues Cabinet.
Prior to his time with the NCAA, Jeremiah spent two seasons as an Offensive Graduate Assistant Coach for the University of Minnesota Football team working with Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers and the Offensive Line. Jeremiah was a member of the University of Minnesota Football team from 1998-2002. During his senior season Jeremiah garnered All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten honors. He is a native of St. Paul, Minn.
