Dan Reisig joined the University of Minnesota staff in 2013 as an associate athletic communications director. He serves as the primary communications and media relations contact for the Golden Gophers men's basketball program.
Prior to his arrival at Minnesota, Reisig spent more than six years in athletic communications at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., most recently as Director of New Media. In that role, he worked primarily with the men's basketball and women's volleyball teams, while managing department-wide social media and web strategies along with publications and video production. His previous experience included one year as an athletic media relations assistant at the University of Maryland.
Reisig, a native of Reston, Va., is a 2006 graduate of The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. He served as a sports information student assistant for two years while enrolled there, and also completed a public relations internship with the Washington Redskins.
