Andrew Nelson was hired in the fall of 2011 as Assistant Director of Compliance at the University of Minnesota and is the compliance representative serving the sports of Football, Baseball, Men's Track & Field/Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey, and Wrestling.
Prior to working at the University of Minnesota, Nelson worked in the University of Denver Compliance Office during the summer of 2011 after spending 2008-2010 working as a Compliance Intern and Compliance Assistant at the University of Colorado. Nelson was an intern during the summer of 2008 with the Iowa State University Compliance Office.
Nelson was a member of Phi Delta Phi honor society during his time at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2010. He also received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Iowa in 2007.
