As it prepares for the final weeks of another productive fundraising year, the Golden Gopher Fund launched the completely redesigned GoldenGopherFund.com on Wednesday.
“We are always looking for better and different ways to tell the Gopher Athletics story, and the stories of hundreds of Gopher student-athletes, and an obvious opportunity we saw to do a better job sharing that story was our Golden Gopher Fund website” said Athletics Director Mark Coyle. “Our new website has a cleaner design, more focused content, and an increased emphasis on sharing what makes Minnesota and our athletics department unlike any other in the country. We hope our fans and donors enjoy the changes.”
The new GoldenGopherFund.com is built around a modern aesthetic that better matches the current branding of Gopher Athletics. The site is streamlined with fewer navigation options and longer scrolls on most pages than the previous site, making it easier for visitors to quickly and easily find the information they need.
The updated site delivers more information about the projects that are top priorities in the department to visitors immediately on the landing page. Learning more about any of these specific projects and investing in them is now only two clicks away.
Several areas of the site are dedicated to sharing the stories behind Gopher Athletics and its student-athletes, which are some of the nation’s best both academically and athletically. The increased emphasis on what makes Minnesota special uses an increased mix of multimedia to detail everything from the University’s unmatched location at the heart of a modern and bustling metro area, to the extraordinary success Gopher student-athletes have enjoyed, success that includes 15 conference championships the past three years and eight consecutive semesters of a grade-point average above 3.2.
The Golden Gopher Fund, which is the fundraising arm of Gopher Athletics, is not only wrapping up a strong year of fundraising. It’s also in the middle of the most ambitious facilities campaign in department history, one that has already generated record investments in every day facilities that will have an impact on every Gopher student-athlete.
More information about the key elements of that campaign, as well as annual and scholarship support for all 25 Gopher programs, is available on GoldenGopherFund.com.
