A campaign that ran from April 1-30, every strikeout by a Gopher pitcher and by alum (and current Minnesota Twins pitcher) Glen Perkins helped fight cancer as part of pitching coach Todd Oakes' Strike Out Cancer campaign through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
