The Don Lucia Radio Show airs for the final time this season tonight at the Beacon Public House on campus. If you haven't checked out the new restaurant yet, catch tonight's show live starting at 6 p.m. as Coach Lucia and Wally Shaver discuss all things surrounding Gopher hockey. Tonight's show also airs live on 1500 ESPN.
Lucia and Shaver wrap up the 2012-13 season tonight with a wide range of topics including Minnesota's 34th trip to the NCAA tournament last weekend. The Gophers rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period on Friday in Grant Rapids only to have Yale advance with the game winner in overtime. Yale later punched its ticket to the Frozen Four and will be joined by St. Cloud State, UMass-Lowell and Quinnipiac. Tonight's broadcast will also feature in-depth analysis of the Frozen Four field.
Also on the docket for tonight -- Adam Wilcox's impressive rookie campaign in goal for the Gophers (the netminder set a new school record for goals against average and tied for the program's rookie wins total) and Erik Haula, who led the team in points for the second-straight year and posted the first 50 point season at Minnesota since 2005-06.
The Beacon Public House offers great deals each week for the Don Lucia Radio Show including half price entrees and a happy hour special. The Beacon Public House is located in the new Commons Hotel on campus (615 Washington Avenue SE).
