Competed in seven events and put together an 8-14 record during redshirt campaign competing at 157 pounds • Recorded his first win of the season with 3-1 decision over Taylor Nagel at Bison Open (11/10) • First of three pins on the year came during 1-2 performance at Kaufman-Brand Open • Was 2-1 at Husky Open before dropping 6-4 decision to teammate Brian Peterson in consolation round (12/8) • His 3-2 showing at Worthington Open included a pair of pins, including a stick in just 1:32 over Craig Eckelberg in the consolation round (1/19).

HIGH SCHOOL:
Sparta, Wis. native attended Sparta High School • placed third at 140 pounds in Division I at Wisconsin state meet in 2006-07 • compiled a 48-2 overall record during his senior year • two-time winner at Bi-State Championships, a 52-team competition between teams from Minnesota and Wisconsin • three-time state qualifier • holds Sparta High School’s all-time record for wins in a career (152) and season (48) • four-time All-Conference selection • twice named wrestling team MVP • also lettered in football (three times) and track (twice) • holds school record in 400-meter dash (51.8 seconds).
