2008-09 Freshman Season:
Appeared in 36 of team's 37 games, including the last 32 games of the season • notched the team’s first goal on the power play in the WCHA first round sweep of St. Cloud State (3/13) • scored the game-winning goal with 7:11 left in the third period to break a 3-3 tie in an eventual 5-3 win over Minnesota Duluth (2/28) • all three of his assists came against Wisconsin, helping both goals in a 2-2 tie (10/24) and assisting a goal in a 5-4 loss (2/7) • scored goals in wins over Colorado College (12/13) and Brown (1/2) • primarily played center, but also spent time at wing • earned his first letter.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Helped the Omaha Lancers to the Clark Cup USHL championship this past season with 10 goals and 14 assists in 56 games • played under current Gopher assistant coach Mike Hastings in Omaha • had a goal and two assists in the team’s 14 playoff games • played prep hockey at Virginia High School and amassed 164 points in 52 games over his final two seasons • head coaches were Keith Hendrickson and Gary Cornell • helped Virginia to a section title and state tournament appearance in 2005 • team won two conference championships • earned All-State, All-Conference and All-Area accolades • prep teammate of current Dallas Stars’ defenseman Matt Niskanen • graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and was a National Honor Society member • helped USA claim a bronze medal in the 2008 World Junior A challenge in British Columbia • collected a silver medal with team USA at the under-18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament in the Czech Republic • drafted 50th overall in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars.

PERSONAL:
Majoring in management • accepted into Carlson School of Management • lists hobbies as tennis, hunting, fishing and wakeboarding • most memorable sports thrill was winning the section tournament and advancing to the state tournament during his freshman year • son of Tony and Kathy Sacchetti • born August 21, 1989.
