CAREER: Played in 45 career tournaments while at Minnesota • named All-Big Ten First Team as a junior • named an Honorable Mention All-American following his sophomore season • collected eight top-10 finishes in his career, including a tie for second finish at the Ping/Golfweek Preview (9/23/07) • finished career with a 74.39 stroke average, just missing the top-10 all-time in Gopher history.

2008-09 • SENIOR SEASON: Played in all 11 of the team’s events during the season • counted scores in 30 of his 33 rounds • finished second on the team with a 74.15 stroke average • collected two top-10 and five top-20 finishes • shot an even- par score of 216 (72-72-72) and finished seventh at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, his best 54-hole score of the season • tied for third at the Adams Cup of Newport with a 54-hole total of 217 (+1) • low round of the fall season was a 2-under par 70 in the opening round of the Adams Cup.

SUMMER 2008 • AMATEUR PLAY: Shot a 4-under par 68 at TPC Twin Cities and finished in a tie for third place in the local U.S. Open qualifier to advance to the sectional qualifier • finished in a three-way tie for fifth place at the U.S. Amateur Section Qualifier but did not advance after losing in a sudden -death playoff.

2007-08 • JUNIOR SEASON:
All-Big Ten First Team • played in 10 of 11 team tournaments for the Gophers • finished second on the team in stroke average at 73.54 • played 11 of 33 rounds during the season at or under par, the second higest on the team • qualified for the 2008 NCAA Central Regional • finished in a tie for 41st after carding a 54-hole score of 13-over 226 (77-75-74) • led the Gophers at the Big Ten Championships with a 72-hole total of 5-over 293 and finished in a tie for fifth • it was one of four top-10 finishes on the season • carded an even-par total of 216 to take third at the Gopher Invitational • tied for second at the Ping/Golfweek Preview (211/-5) • tied for 10th at the Windon Memorial  (212/-1).

SUMMER 2007 • AMATEUR PLAY: Represented Sweden and tied for 30th at the 2007 European Amateur Championship (291/+3) • placed third (top amateur) at the Lyckorna Scratch and 18th (fifth amateur) at the Skyways open while playing on the Swedish minitour • shot 219 (+3) at the Scratch Players Championship in Modesto, Calif., but did not make the 54-hole cut • led his Swedish club team to a second place finish at the Swedish Club Team Championships.

2006-07 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Honorable mention All-American • played in 10 of 13 tournaments • finished fourth on the team in stroke average (75.03) • led the Gophers at the NCAA Championships, carding a 1-under 279 and tying for 15th • it was one of three top-20 finishes on the season • also tied for 11th at the Gopher Invitational (225/+9) and 12th at the U.S. Intercollegiate (213/+3) • posted a 2-under 68 in the first round of the U.S. Intercollegiate • tied for 21st at the Big Ten Championships (305/+21) • carded a season-low 67 (-3) during the final round of the NCAA Championships to help secure a top 10 finish for the Gophers • it was one of five rounds of par or better on the year.

SUMMER 2006 • AMATEUR PLAY: One of six players to be selected by the Swedish Golf Federation to represent Sweden at the 2006 European Team Championships • finished 41st after rounds of 75-72-75-71 (+1) • played the secional qualifying (last stage) for the US Open • played on the Swedish mini tour and Scandinavian mini tour (Telia Tour) • First amateur and 3rd overall in Dala Open (mini tour) • third amateur and 8th overall in SPM Open (mini tour)after 67-66-73 • third amateur and 35th overall in Husqvarna Open (Telia Tour) after 69-67-73 • fourth amateur and 6th overall in Δlvkarleby Open (mini tour) after 71-70 • fourth amateur and 43rd overall in Salem Open (Telia tour) after 71-77-73 • 31st in last qualifying stage for the Scandinavian Masters (European Tour) • shot a course record 65 (-7) at Norrtelje Golfklubb.

2005-06 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in every spring event • recorded two top-10 finishes • finished tied for 70th at the NCAA Championships (299/+11) • tied for a career best seventh at the Augusta State Invitational (215/-1) • the 215 was a career best three-round score • career low round was a 69 in the third round of the Puerto Rico Classic • tied for 10th at the Fossum Invitational (217/+1) • tied for 35th at the Big Ten Championships (307/+23) • tied for 63rd at the Central Regional (226/+13) • finished tied for 38th in the Gopher Invitational • shot rounds of 80-75-77=232 (+16) • fired five rounds under par and 25 of his 32 career rounds were sub-75.

SUMMER 2005 • AMATEUR PLAY: Finished 12th at U.S. Open Qualifying • was the runner-up to teammate Mike Fiedler at the Krugel Invitational • was 21st at the Minnesota State Amateur and 41st at the Minnesota State Open • was the first alternate for U.S. Amateur qualifying finishing fifth • finished third at the Lyle Crane Championship Matchplay.

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Blackberg Gymnasium • junior Club Champion three times, runner up twice • recorded six top 10 finishes on the Swedish teen tour and two top five finishes • started playing for my home club elite team at age 14 • picked by Stockholm’s Golf Federation to a talent group consisting of 15 and 16 year olds at age 15 • lowest score as a junior was a 65 (-7).

PERSONAL: Son of Hans-Eric Almstrom and Anna Carin Uhlander • born 2/21/84 • majoring in sport management.
