2005-06 • JUNIOR SEASON: Third Team All-American • tied for sixth at the NCAA Championships (-4/286) • played 12 of 13 tournaments • was named the Les Bolstad Award winner in the Big Ten for lowest scoring average • became the fourth Gopher to ever win the Bolstad Award (John Harris, Joey Guillion and James McLean) • named first team All-Big Ten for the third consecutive year • named All-Big Ten Tournament after finishing fourth at the BigTen Championships (285/+1) • fired a 68 in the third round for his season-best round • recorded five top 10s this season • tied for second at the Fossum Invitational (214/-2) • tied for sixth at The Gopher Invitational (218/+6) • finished eighth at the Landfall (219/+3) • 29 of his 38 rounds were under 75 • leads the team with 12 rounds under par • Golfweek Preseason Third Team All-American.

SUMMER 2005 • AMATEUR PLAY: Missed cut at Western Amateur • tied for seventh at the Players Amateur • runner-up at the Pine-To-Palm.

2004-05 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in all 12 tournaments • named PING/GCAA Third Team All-American • stroke average of 72.11 is the third best season mark in Gopher history • PING/GCAA All-Midwest Region • First Team All-Big Ten • had four top 10s • did not finish outside the top 20 all season • best finish was a tie for 4th at the National Invitational Tournament (207/-9) • the 207 at the NIT was the low tournament for the Gophers on the year and a career best • also ties the 7th-best 54-hole score in Gopher history • led team with seven rounds in the 60s • set personal best round with a 65 in the third round of the National Invite • the 65 ties the fourth-best 18-hole score in Gopher history • recorded 15 rounds below par and 27 of his 35 rounds on the year were below 75 • finished tied for sixth at the Husky Invitational (215/-1) • tied for 4th at the Big Ten/Pac 10 Challenge (145/+1) • tied for fifth at the Augusta State Invite (224/+8) • tied for 16th at Big Tens (217/+1) • tied for 14th at NCAA Regionals (213/+3).

SUMMER 2004 • AMATEUR PLAY: Advanced to the Round of 32 at the U.S. Amateur before losing to Nicolas Thompson, 3 and 2 • defeated Buck Williams 2 and 1 in the first round • finished fourth in stroke play at 141/+1 • advanced to match play at the Western Amateur • finished fourth in stroke play at the Western Am at 274/-6 • finished ninth at the Monroe Invitational 278/-2 • was 26th at Dogwood Invitational 289/+1.

2003-04 • FRESHMAN SEASON: PING Honorable Mention All-American • all-region selection • Big Ten Freshman of the Year • fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Year in school history: Matt Doyle - 1996; Martin LeMesurier - 1997; James McLean - 1998 • first team All-Big Ten • Big Ten All-Tournament • finished second on the team in stroke average at 72.53 • recorded six top-10 finishes • best finish was a second at the Fossum Invitational 214/-2 • best round was a 68 in the second round of the Big Ten Championships • finished tied for fifth at Big Tens 211/-2 • finished third in his second collegiate tournament at the Adams Cup 217/+1 • was fifth at the Landfall Tradition 212/-4 • best tournament score was a 211 (-5) at the Augusta State Invitational, good for fifth place • tied for seventh at The Intercollegiate 212/-4 • tied for 51st at the NCAA Central Regional 231/+15.

SUMMER 2003 • AMATEUR PLAY: Tied for third place in the New Zealand U-23 team event • was runner-up in the Tasmanian Open with scores of 72-68-70-72 • totaled 284 to tie for seventh in the Australian Amateur Medal • fired rounds of 71-70-72-72 to take second in the Queensland Amateur Medal.

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Kelvin Grove State High • earned senior and junior certificate • member of the Queensland State Team that finished second in 2000 • also played on the Australian Honorary School Team.

PERSONAL: Son of Colin and Sandra La’Cassie • most memorable sports thrill was playing in the Australian Open • born 4/15/83 • business and marketing education major.
