2008 Season: Indoor: Competed in eight meets in the pole vault • finished 11th in the Big Ten Championships • cleared a season-best of 16-4 3/4 at the Snowshoe Open and the Iowa State Classic. Outdoor: Vaulted in nine meets • NCAA Midwest Region competitor • placed eighth at the Big Ten outdoor meet with a height of 16-2 1/4 • cleared a career-best height of 16-6 3/4 at the Clemson Relays to tie for the sixth-best leap in school history • varsity letterwinner. 2007 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons. High School: A 2006 graduate of Mankato Loyola High School • high school coaches were Dale Compton and Matt Kolb • placed first in the pole vault at the state meet for three consecutive years • holds the school record in the pole vault • three-time conference champion • named all-conference, all-county, all-area and all-state for three seasons • earned five letters in track and field • lettered twice in basketball where he was an all-conference guard • also lettered in cross country once • Academic All-State • National Honor Society.
