Golden Gopher Career Notes:
The Golden Gophers’ athletic, talented and extremely intelligent point guard who started every of her 127 games of her Minnesota career • 2010 Gopher MVP • a focused leader on the court who served as a team captain as a junior and senior • able to break down a defense by slashing into the paint and getting to the rim • the only player to start every game in a career and the Minnesota record holder with 127 consecutive starts • the first player in Minnesota history to dish out over 100 assists all four seasons • 2010 All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selection by both the Conference coaches and media • 2010 Academic All-District Second Team honoree • a member of the 2007 Big Ten Conference All-Freshman Team • the first rookie in Gopher history to dish out over 100 assists (105) • teamed with Emily Fox to form just the second duo in Minnesota history to collect over 100 or more assists in a single season (April Calhoun/Janel McCarville in 2004-05), doing so in the 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons • dished out an assist in all but three career games • scored in double figures 36 times in her career • ranked third in Minnesota history in career assists with 519, sixth in career steals with 234 • scored 936 points averaging 7.4 points a game in her career • 2008 recipient of an Arthur Ashe Scholar-Athlete Award • signed a training camp contract with the Minnesota Lynx in April of 2010 • May 2010 graduate.

2009-10 • Senior Season:
Minnesota 2010 MVP and Defensive Player of the Year • Gopher starter at point guard in every game of the last four seasons, a school-record 127 consecutive starts • All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selection by both the Conference coaches and media • Academic All-District Second Team honoree • averaged 7.0 points and 5.1 assists per game in her senior season • tallied double figures scoring in eight games • finished second in the Big Ten in assists - 5.1 assists per game • tallied nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists in win at Indiana • dished out 10 assists at Iowa, her third career game with double-digit assists • led Gophers with 14 points (11-12 FTs) in win at Penn State • tallied a season-high 16 points, with seven assists and three steals, versus Wisconsin • scored in double figures for her third straight game with 10 points and five assists in loss at Illinois • contributed 11 points and nine assists in win over Northwestern (1/7) • tallied a 14 points with seven assists and two steals in overtime win over Iowa (1/3) • scored 10 points with eight rebounds in win over Penn State (12/6) • collected eight assists and a career-best seven steals in the win over TCU • tallied 13 points with five steals in win over Illinois-Chicago • scored 10 points with four assists in loss at Utah • Academic All-Big Ten • team captain • earned fourth varsity letter.

2008-09 • Junior Season:
Minnesota’s starting point guard in all 33 games • team captain • the Gophers’ recipient of the Defensive Player of the Year and Most Outstanding Scholar Awards • ranked first on team and third in Big Ten in assists (4.1 apg. / 131 assists) • averaged 6.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists  and 2.0 steals per game • posted double figures in seven games • tallied seven points, six assists and five rebounds in NCAA win over Notre Dame • scored 15 points with six assists in Big Ten Tournament loss to Iowa • scored 12 points with five assists, four steals and three rebounds in loss to 20/17 Ohio State (2/19) • hit a game-winning three-pointer with 1.9 seconds left to defeat Michigan (2/15) - added seven points and seven assists • Michigan game-winner featured on ESPN’s Plays of the Day • scored 10 points, including two three-pointers, in loss to Purdue (2/12) • scored 10 points with seven assists in win over Indiana • contributed one of her finest all-around games with 14 points, seven assists (zero turnovers) and four steals in win over Boston College • tallied a career-high 17 points in the win over St. Mary’s, also added eight assists • dished out 10 assists in Colorado Coors Classic title game versus UMass • enjoyed her best all-around game and her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 12 assists (eight rebounds) in win over American • scored eight points versus 2/2 Stanford • an Academic All-Big Ten honoree • earned third varsity letter.

2007-08 • Sophomore Season:
The Gopher starter at point guard in all 32 games • averaged 7.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game • scored in double six times • finished second the Big Ten in assists in league play (4.61 apg.) and ranks overall at 4.27 apg. • tied for seventh on the single-season assists list with 131 assists • scored nine points, with three steals, vs. Texas in her first NCAA Tournament game • dished out a career-high nine assists with season highs in rebounds (five) and steals (four) in the win over Northwestern • dished out seven assists in the win over Ohio State • scored 14 points, dished out six assists in 2ot loss to Indiana • tallied 12 points, six assists and five steals in the win over Penn State • scored 14 points in the win over Wisconsin • matched a season high with 14 points in the win over Michigan State • dished out a career-high eight assists in the win over Kentucky • tallied a season-high 14 points (5-7 FG) versus Northern Iowa with two three-point field goals in a game for the first time in her career • scored 11 points in season-opening win over UC Riverside • an Academic All-District Second Team honoree • Academic All-Big Ten • earned second varsity letter.

2006-07 • Freshman Season:
The Gopher starter at the point guard position in all 33 games • averaged 8.9 points, 3.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game • 2007 All-Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection, first Gopher picked to team since Janel McCarville (2002) • honored as the Gophers’ Defensive Player of the Year • scored in double figures 15 times • one of only three freshmen in the Big Ten to start every game in 2006-07 • scored 11 points in WNIT game versus Western Kentucky • contributed nine points and three assists in WNIT opener versus Illinois-Chicago • tallied 10 points, five rebounds and four assists in Big Ten Tourney quarterfinal loss to No. 22/23 Michigan State • tied her career-high with 16 points against Michigan, 14 scored in the second half • played her best defensive game against Purdue’s Katie Gearlds, limiting the All-American to just four points on 2-of-10 field goal attempts • scored a career-high 16 points against Penn State; also tallying a career-high five steals • turned in a balanced seven points, six assists, four rebounds and four steals against Indiana • played 38 minutes against Northwestern, with a stat line of 13 points, five rebounds and four assists • scored 11 points against Ohio State in limited minutes because of foul trouble • had a career-high seven assists against Illinois along with seven points • scored a previous career-high 15 points against Iowa State and matched her career-high with six rebounds • played a career-high 39 minutes in win at Nebraska, scoring a then-career-high 14 points and matching her career-high with six rebounds • turned in an all-around performance against Vermont, scoring 11 points, dishing out four assists and going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line • named to the 2006 Subway Classic All-Tournament Team • netted 10 points versus Princeton going 5-8 from the field • scored six points, dished out four assists and grabbed three steals against Charlotte • tallied 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in her first collegiate game, versus Northern Iowa • varsity letterwinner.

High School Highlights:
A 2006 graduate of Loyola Academy • high school coach was Tanya Johnson • a Street & Smith All-American • 2006 Chicago Tribune and Sun Times All-State First Team • 2006 Associated Press and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State Second Team • Girls’ Catholic Athletic Conference Player of the Year • finished high school career with 1,778 points and 130 consecutive starts/games played • team finished with a 29-4 record in 2005-06, losing in the state supersectional final • 2006 GCAC champions, winning third consecutive league crown • led Loyola to a 31-2 record in 2004-05, losing in the Illinois State Tournament Class AA sectional final • averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during her junior season • career record of 116 wins, 15 losses • played in the 2006 IBCA All-Star Game • played her AAU ball for Chicago Hoops Express coached by Jerald Davis.

Born Nov. 26, 1987 • Speech-Language-Hearing Science major • daughter of Patrick and Joanne McCoy • the oldest of six children with siblings: Jonathon, David, Kayla, Jeffrey and Jabarie.
