Two-time First-Team All-Big Ten outfielder who runs extremely well and is a very talented hitter • took over as the every day centerfielder for Minnesota midway through his freshman season, and has started since that point • came back for his senior season after being drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 18th round of the Major League Draft • during his career, Minnesota is 74-62 when Nohelty is the leadoff hitter • led the team in stolen bases the past two seasons • has the most stolen bases by a Golden Gopher in his first three seasons (66) since J.T. Bruett’s three seasons in 1986-88 • also collected First-Team Academic All-American honors in 2008.

2008 • JUNIOR SEASON: 
Named First-Team All-Big Ten as an outfielder • missed batting .400 by one hit, as he had a .397 average, 53 runs, 94 hits, seven doubles, four triples and 24 stolen bases • batted .398 with 29 runs, 51 hits, four doubles, a triples and 14 stolen bases in Big Ten play • set a school-record for most hits in Big Ten play, and finished the season on a 16-game hitting streak • his .397 average was the higest by a Golden Gopher since 2001, and the 94 hits were the most by a Minnesota player since 1999 • batted .352 with 18 runs and 16 RBI in road games • had a .434 batting average with 18 runs and 16 RBI in 17 games at the Metrodome • had a .429 average in 13 games at Siebert Field • had a .396 average, 12 runs and nine RBI in 11 games against ranked opposition • had a .385 average with the bases loaded, a .394 average with runners in scoring position and a .397 average with two outs • named MVP of the Dairy Queen Classic, where he was 9-for-14 with eight RBI against No. 18 Tulane, No. 29 Pepperdine and TCU • went 4-for-6 with three runs, an RBI and a stolen bases against Pacific on Mar. 16 • was 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI and three stolen bases against North Dakota State on Mar. 18 • went 6-for-10 five runs and two RBI in two games against No. 2 Missouri on Mar. 25-26 • was 4-for-8 with three runs and two RBI in the first two games of the Indiana series on Mar. 28-29 • went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI against Ohio State on Apr. 4 • was 6-for-9 with three RBI and two doubles in the final two games of the Northwestern series on Apr. 14 • was 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs and three RBI against Iowa on May 2 • went 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBI against Penn Sate on May 15 • had 10 hits in final four games of the season against Penn State.

2007 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: 

Named First-Team All-Big Ten, and Second-Team All-Region as an outfielder • batted .367 with 48 runs, 26 RBI and 24 stolen bases • led team in stolen bases, was second in batting average, second in on-base percentage and third in runs • batted .398 with 26 runs, 13 RBI and eight stolen bases in Big Ten play • led team in batting average, runs, hits, on-base percentage and stolen bases in conference play • batted .473 with runners on base • went 4-for-7 (.571) as a pinch-hitter • led the team in batting average with runners in scoring position at .520 (26-50) • batted .400 (20-50) with two outs • was 4-for-9 with two RBI in two games against No. 5 Arkansas on Mar. 4 • went 3-for-6 with a run and two RBI against UC Santa Barbara on Mar. 13 • was 2-for-4 with an RBI against No. 9 Pepperdine on Mar. 16 • compiled a 13-game hitting streak from Mar. 10 to Mar. 31 • reached base three times and was 2-for-3 with two runs and a stolen base against Penn State on Mar. 31 • had his first career home run, and was 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBI against Michigan State on Apr. 22 • was 3-for-3 with two runs and a stolen base against Northwestern on May 5 • went 3-for-4 with a run against Ohio State on May 12 • was 2-for-4 with an RBI against Ohio State on May 13 • was 8-for-16 with five runs, two RBI and two stolen bases in a three-game series against Indiana on May 18-20 • went 2-for-6 wtih a run and a stolen base against Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament on May 24 • was 3-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen bases against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament on May 26 • in that game Nohelty beat out an infield single in the bottom of the ninth that would have been the final out of the game, and came around to score the tying run • went 2-for-4 with a run against Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament Championship game on May 25 • named to Big Ten All-Tournament team • was named Third-Team Academic All-American and Academic All-Big Ten.

2006 • FRESHMAN SEASON:

Named Third-Team All-Big Ten and was Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American • became the first player since Mike Mee in 2004 to accomplish both of those honors • was the first player since Sam Steidl in 2001 to lead Minnesota in batting average as a freshman • also led the team in stolen bases to become the first player since Scott Howard in 1999 to lead the team in stolen bases as a freshman  • batted .361 with 34 runs, 26 RBI,18 stolen bases and a .439 on-base percentage • finished second on the team in on-base percentage • led the team in Big Ten batting average at .389, had 17 runs, 17 RBI and 11 stolen bases • was the first player since Scott Howard to lead the team in conference batting average • tied for ninth in the Big Ten in stolen bases • was third in the Big Ten in batting average and seventh in on-base percentage in conference play • batted .375 (24-64) with runners on base • had a .349 batting average (29-83) with the bases empty • batted .422 (19-45) with runners in scoring position • had a .488 batting average (20-41) with two outs • tallied 13 of his 26 RBI with two outs in an innings • became only second player since 2001 to record three stolen bases in a game, as he reached base four times, and went two-for-two with three runs and two RBI against Vermont • batted .400 (4-for-10) in three games at Iowa • went three-for-five with two RBI and a stolen base against Michigan State on Apr. 21 • was three-for-six with two runs and three RBI against Michigan State on Apt. 22 • batted .467 with four runs, eight RBI and two stolen bases in the four-game series against the Spartans on Apr. 21-23 • batted .438 with four runs, three RBI and two stolen bases against Illinois in a four game series on Apr. 28-30 • went two-for-five with a run, two RBI and two stolen bases against Northwestern on May 5 • batted .555 (5-for-9) with one run, one RBI and a stolen base in final two games of the Ohio State series (5/13-14) • went four-for-seven with three runs, an RBI and a stolen base in a doubleheader against Indiana on May 20 • reached base four times, and went one-for-one with two runs and an RBI in the first game of the Big Ten Tournament against Illinois on May 24 • was two-for-five with two runs and an RBI in the Big Ten Tournament winner’s bracket game against Michigan on May 25 • went two-for-four with an RBI in the first championship game against Michigan • batted .333 with four runs and four RBI in Big Ten Tournament • named to Big Ten All-Academic team • Minnesota Scholar Athlete.

2005:
Redshirted the 2005 season.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated Everest High School in 2004 • high school coach was Mark Simon • 2004 Wisconsin Valley Conference Player of the Year • batted .508 with a .567 on-base percentage, 21 runs and 12 RBI in his senior season • named First-Team All-State in football and third-team All-State in baseball • Two-time All-Conference in baseball in 2003 & 04 • All-Conference in football in 2004. 

PERSONAL:
Graduated with a degree in Computer Science, and is going to grad school for the same major • son of Tom and Lori Nohelty • lists most memorable sports thrill as winning Wisconsin State Championship in football and getting second in the state in baseball • enjoys working with computers • interned with Northwest Airlines this past summer • born May 21, 1986.
