University of Minnesota men’s swimming and diving head coach Dennis Dale announced today that Jared Anderson (Baxter, Minn.) and Larry Formosa (Homer Glen, Ill.) have signed Acceptance of Admission forms to attend the University of Minnesota.
Anderson, a senior at Brainerd High School, was the runner-up in the
100 breaststroke at the Minnesota State High School AA Championships
with a time of 56.61. He also finaled in the 200 individual medley,
placing eighth. He led Brainerd/Pillager to a seventh-place finish at
the state meet. He also competes for the Brainerd YMCA Dolphins and
coach Hal Peterson. He is coached by John Zemke at Brainerd High School.
Anderson's top times are 56.61 in the 100 breaststroke (short course yards).
Formosa, a senior at Lockport Township High School, was an Illinois
State Championships finalist as a senior and specializes in butterfly
and sprint freestyle. He is coached by Grant Ferkaluk at Lockport
Township High School and Monique Witkowski at Lockport Homer Swim Club.
Formosa's top times are 51.93 in the 100 butterfly and 21.77 in the 50 free (short course yards).
