2007-08 • Freshman Season: Will be making her first Olympic appearance in the 100 breast at the 2008 Olympics with Canadian team • Went untapered at the end of her freshman year to prepare for the Canadian Trials • Made her first trek to the NCAA Championships and became the NCAA runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke • finished seventh in the 200 breast and the 400 medley relay to earn First Team All-America accolades • held the 29th fastest time overall in women’s all-time short-course yards performance rankings • Big Ten Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Big Ten member • Big Ten Champion in both the 100 and 200 breast as well as a member of the winning 400 medley relay, which set an automatic qualifying time (3:34.16) • has claimed Minnesota school records in both 100 breaststroke (59.80) and 200 breaststroke (2:10.18) events and the 200 and 400 medley relays • Broke former Minnesota NCAA champion Gretchen Hegener’s 11-year old school records in both breaststroke disciplines • swam breaststroke leg of fastest Minnesota 200 and 400 medley relays teams of the season • Won 100 and 200 breaststroke in duals against Florida (10/13), Notre Dame (10/26), North Carolina (11/3), and Arizona State (1/19) • Won five events at the Ohio State Invitational (11/30), including individual crowns in the 200 IM (1:58.97), the 100 breaststroke (59.82) and the 200 breaststroke (2:10.44) • All three individuals wins at OSU Invite were season bests and NCAA ‘A’ cut times • Two-time Big Ten Swimmer of the Week during the 2007-08 campaign following performances against Florida (10/13) and the OSU Invite (11/30).
